Walt Disney, the man behind it all had a vision one day. He envisioned a place where parents and children could enjoy themselves and share some special “family time” together. Thus arose the concept of Disney Land. Disney Land was built in the 1950s in a 160 acre plot of land, in Anaheim, California, and the rest is history. Though opening day was a disaster, in 1955, Disneyland has come a long way since then and Walt Disney’s rich legacy continues to a big part of Disneyland.
Tips and Tricks
In 1962, Walt Disney declared a special “Holiday Time” at Disneyland. A trip to Disneyland can be the trip of a lifetime. But planning a last minute trip to Disneyland is definitely not a good idea. This is because last minute deals to Disney World can work out to be more expensive by far. Also, planning a trip to Disney World last minute would mean that you would not get your choice of resort and would have to live outside the property.
This would mean missing out on all the additional benefits like the “Magical Express”, transportation and the extra “magic “hours. Even though staying off the property may work out to be cheaper, depending on your choice of the resort, it is always better to stay on the property for these reasons. Moreover, the added expenditure is totally worth it when it comes to Disneyland.
One of the many facilities offered by Disney World is the free package delivery service. There is no need for you to lug around your things or purchases all over the park if you are staying at a hotel in Disneyland; it gets sent back to your hotel in Disneyland.
Accomodation Choices
The All-Star resorts, though shabbier than the Monorail resorts are also a big option, because they are moderately prices and hence go easy on the pocket. Of course, some would say that they are no more than motel rooms all dressed up, the upside is that they are located within the property and that means that the children have all the security to go exploring on their own.
But generally, the arm and leg prices of the hotels within Disneyworld can get a bit too much for people, staying off the property, in condos or in hotels which are close by may be a bit of an inconvenience, but where cash is an issue, it is probably the best decision to make. But if you are staying off the property, make sure that you check the hotel out, because some can be very run-down and some are not suitable for a family.
