
The ten years from 1999 to 2009 have tested the citizens of the United States in many different ways. Starting with the 2000 presidential election that divided the populous of the country 50/50, then the attacks of September 11th united the country only in horror and sadness, followed by seven more years of divisive politics an unpopular war and the formation of what seemed to be two Americas and finally culminating a deep recession and another divisive election.
